About
What is Financial Survival Radio?
Financial Survival Radio is a weekly podcast designed to help listeners make sense of the ongoing worldwide economic collapse.
While the show covers a wide range of business & finance topics, the main goal of each episode is to help people survive and thrive through the tough economic years ahead.
In this new economy, who’s winning? Who’s losing? What’s changing? Financial Survival Radio keeps track of what’s happening in the economy, why it’s happening and what it all means to the everyday investor. It’s the mission behind Financial Survival Radio’s motto – “the network you need in the new economy.”
About the Host
As host of Financial Survival Radio, Jay Carter draws upon his extensive experience in both broadcasting and business, along with a morbid fascination with the slow-motion breakdown of the United States’ consumption-and-leisure “FIRE” (Finance, Insurance, Real Estate) economy.
While working as a news anchor and reporter for ABC, NBC and CBS affiliated television and radio stations in Texas and Louisiana, Jay has won numerous awards from the Associated Press and has received the Radio and Television News Directors Association’s Edward R. Murrow Award for excellence in journalism.
For many years, Jay ran a successful residential real estate sales business in Austin, Texas and still continues to oversee his portfolio of precious metals and residential apartment units. He strongly urges everyone to convert their paper US Dollar savings into something of tangible value before it’s too late.
Strangely enough, when the above picture was taken, Jay happened to be standing next to Phil Donahue. We’re not really sure why.
